  ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT
This association of management management scholars is the the largest and oldest one (founded 1936), based at Pace University (New York). Among the various publications available, the Newsletter, Management, Spirituality and Religion interest group (MSR) – for which Thierry C. Pauchant is the current Publisher.

PROFESSIONAL ETHICS

Founded in 1991 to encourage interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching in practical and professional ethics by educators and practitioners. It facilitates communication and joint ventures among centers, schools, colleges, business and nonprofit organizations and individuals.
     
  BUSINESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS RESOURCE CENTER
An independent organization, run in partnership with Amnesty International and several large universities. Includes a large database, accessible free of charge (English, French and Spanish).
     
  CANADIAN BUSINESS FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Founded in 1995, Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR) is a non-profit, business-led, national membership organization of Canadian companies who have made a commitment to operate in a socially, environmentally and financially responsible manner, and who recognize the interests of their stakeholders, including, investors, customers, employees, business partners, local communities and the environment and society at large.
     
  THE CAUX ROUND TABLE
“The Caux Round Table (CRT) is an international network of principled business leaders working to promote a moral capitalism.” Based in Switzerland, its database and newsletter are available free of charge.

  THE CONFERENCE BOARD OF CANADA
An independent applied research organization, with one of its objectives being to increase leadership competencies. An extensive database is partially accessible to the public, in both French and English. Additional services are available by subscription.
     
  THE CORPORATION, DOCUMENTARY
A documentary film produced by Marc Achbazy, Jennifer Abbott and Joel Bakan on the role of multinational corporations in our world. Clips from the film are available online with interviews with Noam Chomsky, Peter Drucker, Milton Friedman, Michael Moore, Anita Roddick and Jeremy Rifkin, among others.

  EN QUÊTE MAGAZINE
En Quête is a new French language magazine which dares to take a different view on our world; a humane, compassionate and ethical view. Each edition presents dozens of articles dealing with one subject (war and peace, popular wisdom, childhood art, ethical business, etc.) and offering many beautiful photos. The Web site also offers numerous online resources.
     
  ETHICS PRACTITIONERS' ASSOCIATION OF CANADA
This association regroups practionnners in ethics in Canada. For a fee, its members receive its newsletter - in English and French - and other advantages.
     
  THE GLOBAL COMPACT
An Initiative created by Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the United Nations. The Compact brings private sector companies together with UN agencies, labor and civil society to support nine principles in the areas of human rights, labor and the environment.
     
  GLOBAL ETHICS
An independent, nonsectarian, nonpartisan, nonprofit charitable membership organization dedicated to promoting ethical action in a global context. Their challenge is to explore the global common ground of shared values, elevate awareness of ethics and provide practical tools for making ethical decisions.   GLOBAL REPORTING INITIATIVE
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a cooperative effort involving many different stakeholders and independent institutions. The group's mission is to develop and disseminate globally applicable Sustainability Reporting Guidelines which can be used by organizations for reporting on the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of their activities, products, and services.
     
  GROUP FOR RESPONSIBLE INVESTMENT
A website on responsible investment, in English and French, which lists and describes the returns and criteria of a number of responsible funds.
     
  GROUP FOR THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF COMPANIES
The mission of this Quebec association is to influence companies on their social responsability, by different means including the economic power of its members and dialogue. Website in French.
     
  THE INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL DISCERNMENT
The Institute of Professional Discernment (IPD) consists of leaders, managers, consultants and researchers seeking to promote a discerning approach to professional decision-making.   INTEGRAL INSTITUTE
A large, independent network founded by the philosopher Ken Wilber of the United States. The Institute promotes integral research, tools and solutions to manage major issues confronting humanity in the areas of health, politics, education, business and the environment.

  NFB'S CITIZENSHIFT
NFB's CITIZENShift is a web initiative to drive citizen involvement and social change through cinema. It expresses a desire to transmit critical thinking and mobilization through 'socially engaged' cinema. The website is host to fifty or so online documents pertaining to an array of social issues authored by film-makers, students, professors, activists and ordinary citizens.
